Nola Marie Hopkins , age 91, of Stockton, IL passed away Wednesday, March 24, 2021 at home. She was born March 26, 1929 in Freeport, IL to the late Fred and Beulah (Endress) Mitchell. Nola married Owen Boyle on February 10, 1949, he passed away May 24, 1969. She later married Howard Hopkins on October 18, 1974, he passed away in 1990.

Nola was a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church in Stockton where she was a member of the Altar and Rosary Societies and sang in the choir. She was also a member of the Eagles Women's Auxiliary Corp and played the drums in the parades. She had worked for Kraft Foods for four years, Burgess Battery, Atwoods, Village Inn Supper Club for 15 years, and owned and operated the Gambles Store from 1977-1979. Nola loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She is survived by her daughters, Carol (Steve) Hollister of Morrison, IL, Connie Larson of Stockton, IL, Colleen Hoefer of Stockton, IL, Chris (Russ) Tippett of Stockton, IL and Corky (Mike) Luke of Stockton, IL; her son, Patrick (Kim) Boyle of Pearl City, IL; her son-in-law, Doug Broshous; her 22 grandchildren, 40 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild; and her sister, Sandra Plowman of Freeport. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husbands; her daughter, Cathy Jo Broshous; her four grandchildren, Eric Hollister, Jason Larson, Troy Boyle and Dusty Luke; her sister, Lois Tucker; her brother, Earl Goodman; her brother-in-law, Harold Tucker; her son-in-law, Richard Larson; and her daughter-in-law, Tina Boyle.

The funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 27, 2021 at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Stockton at 11:00 a.m. with a visitation beginning at 9:00 a.m. Interment will take place at Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery in Stockton. A memorial fund has been established for the Stockton Fire Department.
