Patricia Kay Dampman, age 58 of Stockton, IL, died Wednesday August 3, 2011 at her home. Pat was born October 1, 1952 in Savanna, IL, the daughter of Henry and Glenda (Mullen) Young. She was a 1971 graduate of Stockton High School. She was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church. Pat had worked at Atwood Automotive for several years and ran day care out of her home for several years also. She enjoyed doing crafts, driving her purple Hot Rod Coupe, and children, especially her grandchildren. Pat is survived by her mother Glenda of Stockton; daughter Stacy Meade of Stockton; two grandchildren, Jace Springer and Alyssa Meade; four brothers, Dennis (Suzy) Young of Stockton, Gary (Marsha) Larson of Stockton, Larry (Shirley) Larson of Cedarville, IL, and Terry (Diane) Larson of East Troy, WI; and four sisters, Lou (Rod) Brandt of Stockton, Laurie (Randy) Samples of Rockton, IL, Kris (Dennis) Boyer of Stockton, and Kathy (Dennis) Starr of Stockton. She was preceded in death by her father and granddaughter Shaynie. A private funeral service will be held Saturday. Burial will take place at Ladies Union Cemetery in Stockton. A memorial fund has been established for St. Jude's Research Hospital in Memphis TN. God bless those kids and help them.
