Reta J. Koepp
, age 74 of Stockton, IL, passed away Thursday, May 28, 2015 at Waverly Place of Stockton following a long battle due to strokes since November 2014. She was born July 12, 1940; the daughter of the late William and Lois (Kaeb) Koepp. She was a graduate of Stockton High School. She farmed with her parents while they were living, and continued to live on the family farm until moving to Stockton in 2009.
Reta was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Massbach, IL where she had been the church organist for many years. She enjoyed her German shepherds, Luke & Roxy. Her time was spent diligently working "hard" in her gardens. She definitely was a master gardener and generously shared her produce and knowledge with others.
Reta's friends considered her family and invited her to be a part of their family gatherings. She always brought a great "baked" item with her. She will always be remembered for produce or baked items left anonymously at many homes.
Reta is survived by numerous cousins and special friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents.
The funeral service will be held Saturday, May 30, 2015 at 11:00 am at St. John's Lutheran Church in Massbach. There will be a one hour visitation before the service beginning at 10:00 am. Interment will take place at St. John's Lutheran Cemetery. A memorial fund has been established.
