Richard L. Jones, age 70 of Stockton, IL, passed away Thursday, August 1, 2013 at FHN Memorial Hospital in Freeport, IL. He was born May 24, 1943, the son of Wilbur and Nellie (Heefner) Jones. He attended Le-Win Schools. Richard married Sandy Groezinger in December of 1962; she passed away August 10, 2008. He and Cathy Williams were married on May 9, 2001 in Elizabeth, IL. Richard had farmed all of his life, worked in construction, and retired from truck driving. He is survived by his wife, Cathy; daughter, Tana Jones of Stockton; son, Tony (Isabelle) of Stockton; four grandchildren, Danielle, Trent, Ivannie, and Braden; two step-sons, Bill (Kim) Libberton of South Wayne, WI and Andy (Katie) Libberton of Stockton; four step-grandchildren, Alex, Ryan, Madelyn, and Olivia; two sisters, Phyllis Craig and Sue (Steve) Scheider; two brothers, Jerry (Susan) and Stan; and brother-in-law, John Mitchell. He is preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Sandy; two sisters, Vivian Eisen and Sally Mitchell; and two brothers, Mervel and Buddy. At his request, no services will be held.
