Rita F. Randecker
, age 57 of Stockton, IL, passed away Saturday, February 28, 2015 at FHN Memorial Hospital in Freeport, IL. She was born April 27, 1957; the daughter of the late Robert and Leona (Slonecker) Yeager. Rita married Jacob Randecker on December 13, 1975; he died July 28, 2013.
She had worked at Dura Automotive from the time she graduated high school until this January. She was a member of the Dura 20 year club and of the Eagle Foundation. Rita loved gardening and enjoyed needle point. She especially loved spending time with her dog, Handsome. She will always be remembered as a kind, caring and giving person.
Rita is survived by her sisters, Alice (Jeremy) Wichman of Loves Park, IL, April (Stan) Eberle of Elizabeth, IL, and Ila (Jim) Carlson of Stockton; brothers, Verlin Yeager of Freeport, IL and Eric (Leah) Eberle of Mt. Carroll, IL; God daughter, Melisa Adams of WI; aunts, Velda Groezinger and Ruth Whitiker; Cousin, Arlene Groezinger of Stockton; sister-in-law, Barbara Randecker (Larry Olthoff) of Stockton; numerous nieces & nephews; several cousins; and her beloved dog, Handsome. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Jake; and sister, Pearl Matheson.
A visitation will be held Wednesday, March 4th from 4:00 to 7:00 PM at the Hermann Funeral Home in Stockton, IL. The funeral service will be Thursday, March 5th at 11:00 AM also at the funeral home. Interment will take place at Ladies Union Cemetery in Stockton. A memorial fund has been established for the Stockton Veteran's Memorial.
