Robert Charles Reusch
, of Elizabeth, IL, passed away Saturday, February 28, 2015 at the Stockton Health Care & Rehab Center in Stockton, IL. He was in Derinda Township; the son of the late Carl and Lydia (Fahrion) Reusch. He was Baptized June 12, 1925 with Sponsors Charles & Rosena Fahrion. Robert completed 8 years at the Derinda Grade School.
He had farmed all of his life on his parent's farm. After their death, he partnered with his sister, Anna. He enjoyed and was very skilled at timber work. He worked many years for Mr. Doug Hancock on his Pleasant Valley farm clearing our weed trees. Pigs were his favorite animal to care for. He had no social memberships; however, he was a devoted member of the Derinda Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church. He enjoyed sharing our ample timber lands with other less fortunate hunting sports men, whose children often still enjoy the unspoiled acreage.
Being single, never married, he is survived by a brother, Raymond, his wife Jackie, their pet dogs, Luna & Charlie, their children: David, his wife Marilyn, and their children Andrew & Stephanie, all of the Seattle area; daughter, Germaine and her husband, Tom Craze and their son, Ian of California, their youngest daughter, Amy is wed to Edmond Chibeau and live with their daughter, Chloe in Connecticut. Other survivors are sister, Anna (Mrs. Glen Appleby); her sons, Roger, in Africa, and his wife Deborah of Lenexa, KS; Rudy and his wife Susan of Salem, OR; Randy and his family: daughters Kimberly of Galena and Jolene, mother of Mackenzie, and Brian of Elizabeth; Ron and his wife Jan, their son Tim, his wife Kayla and their sons Parker and Brennan of Platteville, WI, daughters Megan of Saint Louis Park, MN, and Stephanie of Hazel Green, WI.
Robert, being 89 years of age, is preceded in death by his parents and many cousins, relatives, and friends.
Cremation rites have been accorded. Private services will be held at a later date.
