Robert G. Zink , age 88, of Stockton, IL passed away Tuesday, July 2, 2024 at FHN Memorial Hospital in Freeport. He was born in Massbach on July 21, 1935 to the late Glen and Mary (Kupfer) Zink. Bob married Sheila Stowe Luke on May 10, 1958 at Wesley United Methodist Church in Stockton.

Bob attended Stockton High School and went on to serve in the U.S. Army. He was a member of Wesley UMC in Stockton. He worked hard his whole life and could do just about anything. Bob enjoyed woodworking, refinishing furniture, grilling, morel hunting, motorcycle riding, sitting outside under his tree, and most of all, spending time with his family. He was loved by many people, young and old.

He is survived by his wife, Sheila Zink of Stockton; his daughters, Crystal (Robin) Nicholson of Forreston, Sheree (Melvin) Johnson of Hanover and Melanie (Rick) Bower of Stockton; his son, Kevin Zink; his 24 grandchildren, 44 great grandchildren and 9 great great grandchildren; his sisters, Jeanette Dunse of Freeport and Sharon (Leonard) Arand of Stockton; his brother, Kenneth (Norene) Zink of OK; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; his mother and father-in-law Robert (Audrey) Stowe; his son, Mark Zink; his brother, Roger (Leona) Zink; and three great grandchildren, Corey, Carey and Jordyn.

A funeral service will be held on Monday, July 8, 2024 at Wesley UMC in Stockton at 11:00 a.m. with a visitation beginning at 9:00 a.m. Interment will take place at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in Freeport. A memorial fund has been established.
