Roger D. Adleman's Obituary
Roger D. Adleman, age 79, of Stockton, IL passed away Tuesday, April 11, 2017 at Provena St. Joseph Center in Freeport. Roger was born on July 11, 1937 to the late Merle and Violet (Jones) Adleman in Durand, IL.
In his early years, Roger worked at Structo, Atwoods, and built silos. He retired from the Illinois Department of Transportation after 33 years as Highway Maintainer. Roger enjoyed the outdoors, especially hunting and cutting wood. He also enjoyed watching the weather channel and watching his grandchildren play basketball.
Roger is survived by his son, Troy (Patti) Adleman of Stockton, grandchildren, Elise, Kristian and Delanee of Stockton, his sister, Dolores (Bill) Mammoser of Stockton, sister-in-law, Audrey Adleman; and close friends, Larry and Myra Pearce. He is preceded in death by his parents, Merle and Violet, brother, Merle, and infant sister, Barbara.
A visitation will be held Friday, April 14, 2017 at the Hermann Funeral Home in Stockton from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Cremation rites will be accorded. A celebration of life will be held at Troy and Patti's house at a later date. Burial will take place at Ladies Union Cemetery following the celebration of life.
