Ruth Esther Fox , age 92, of Stockton, IL passed away Monday, November 6, 2023 at Allure of Stockton. She was born on the home farm in Derinda Township on December 12, 1930 to the late George and Florence (Endress) Haug. Ruth married Donald Fox on December 12, 1948 in Lena, IL. Donald passed away December 2, 1999.

Ruth was a 1948 graduate of Hanover High School. She was a member of Christ Lutheran Church in Stockton. She had helped her husband farm in the Kent area for over 40 years. She owned and operated Fixin's and Frocks by Fox alteration Shop. Ruth also took home courses on Interior Design and cooked for several restaurant and supper clubs. She enjoyed crocheting, cooking, visiting with friends, collecting chickens and thimbles and fishing with her husband.

She is survived by her sister, Endress (Ken) Bardell; her nephew, Gerald Fox; her nieces, Kathe Kraft, Debi (Kip) Kusick and Sharon Fox; her great nephew, Nicholas Bardell; her great nieces, Carley Kusick and Madeline (Dominick) Marincic and their daughter, Sylvie Marincic; and several cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; her twin brother at birth, Wayne; and her son, Ronald. The family would also like to thank the staff at Allure of Stockton for taking such good care of Ruth over these last few years.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 11, 2023 at Hermann Funeral Home in Stockton at 1:00 p.m. with a visitation beginning at 12:00 p.m. Interment will take place at Ladies Union Cemetery in Stockton. A memorial fund has been established.
