Ruth M. Marks
, age 92 of Stockton, IL, went home to be with the Lord, Thursday, June 25, 2015 at FHN Memorial Hospital in Freeport, IL. She was born December 1, 1922 in Mucheln (Geiseltal) Germany; the daughter of the late Hugo and Louise (Kolterjahn) Buschedorf. She was also Baptized and Confirmed in Germany. She married Max Marks on April 17, 1954.
Ruth lived and farmed with her husband Max and had worked at Atwood Automotive for 15 years. She loved garden work, cooking, and baking. She especially loved traveling back to Germany to visit friends and family.
Ruth is survived by nieces & nephews, Gisela Kausch, Jorg Kausch, Hans-Joachim Filbrandt, Markus Geyer, and Gunter Geyer all of Germany; and God Daughter, Tonya Heller of Stockton. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Max; sisters, Erika Geyer and Irmgard Filbrandt.
The funeral Service will be held Tuesday, June 30, 2015 at 11:00 am at the Hermann Funeral Home in Stockton. There will be a visitation before the service beginning at 10:00 am. Interment will take place at Ladies Union Cemetery in Stockton at a later date. A memorial fund has been established.
