Sandra Jean Gottschalk , age 88, of Stockton, IL passed away Thursday, May 21, 2026 in Monroe, WI. She was born on February 4, 1938 to the late Dellard and Alma (Lohman) Volling. She married George Gottschalk on February 18, 1956 in Lake Zurich, IL. George passed away September 26, 2004.

Sandra was a 1955 graduate of Ela Vernon High School. She had worked on the farm growing up before becoming a homemaker. She was a member of Lake Zurich Lion's Club. She loved going to Sycamore Steam show, sewing, cooking, crossword puzzles, camping, playing Euchre, country line dancing and wintering in Arizona where she enjoyed shuffleboard and bags.

Sandra is survived by her sons, Gordon (Laurie) Gottschalk and Derek (Michelle) Volling; her grandchildren, Cassandra (Brent) Burright, Stephanie Gottschalk, Logan (Sarah) Volling, Lindsey (Jake) Sigafus and Maranda Volling; her great grandchildren, Charlotte, George, Scarlett, Jaxson, Jaxton, Lorelai and Avery. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; her son, Gerald; her grandson, Gerald Jr.; her great granddaughter, Lilah Sigafus; and her brother, Dellard (Elaine).

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, May 28, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. at the Hermann Funeral Home in Stockton. There will be a visitation on Wednesday, May 27, 2026 also at the Funeral Home from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Interment will take place at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in Freeport. A memorial fund has been established.
