Sandra Schryver , age 74 of Shannon, IL passed away May 5, 2018. She was born December 7, 1943 to the late Stanley and Grace (Siemons) Coon. She attended Shannon Schools and graduated from Shannon High School in 1962. She worked at Green Giant while still in high school. Later, she worked at Elkay, Structo, and finally retiring after 20 years with Micro Switch in Freeport.

She enjoyed dancing, bowling, traveling, and trips to the casino. She married Harold "Harry" Schryver on March 20, 1965 in Milledgeville, IL. They moved to Shannon in 1969 where they raised their children.

She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Harry Schryver; her two sons, John of Shannon and Jeffery (Pam) of Mauston, WI; her four grandchildren, Jim (Jess), Cassie, Mike, and Jordan; her five great-grandchildren; her two brothers, John and Stephen Coon and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her son, Jimmy; one sister and five brothers.

There will be a funeral service on Wednesday, May 9, 2018 at Bethel United Methodist Church in Shannon at 10:00 a.m. There will be a visitation on Tuesday, May 8, 2018 at the Hermann Funeral Home in Shannon from 4:00 p.m.to 7:00 p.m. A memorial fund has been established.
