Obituary

On March 26, 2021, Sharon Kay Skipper left this world to go be with the almighty God she served faithfully since she was 6 years old.

Sharon was a talented singer and musician. She also was a dedicated co-worker with her evangelist/pastor husband.

They pastored churches in Missouri then traveled through much of the southeast as Evangelists for several years. Then Sharon moved to the Chicago area where they pastored churches until they retired in Mt. Carroll in 2011.

Sharon is survived by her husband, Billy Joe Skipper, who simply states; she was my very best friend (other than the Lord) since our first date, 62 years ago. The Skippers have been happily married over 60 years.

Sharon was born July 13, 1943 in Unionville, MO and grew up on a farm near Unionville.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Nellie and Albert Cornelison; and her only sibling, her brother, Duane.

Sharon loved people and most of the people who knew her loved her too.

The funeral service will be held on Friday, April 2, 2021 at Hermann Funeral Home in Pearl City, IL at 2:00 p.m. with a visitation beginning at 1:00 p.m. Interment will take place at Brethren Cemetery in Shannon, IL. A memorial fund has been established.
