Obituary

Shirley G. Schubert, age 87 of Stockton, IL, died Tuesday, February 26, 2013 at the Monroe Clinic in Monroe, WI. She was born July 10, 1925 in Woodford, WI, the daughter of Trygve and Della (Hanson) Rygh. She graduated from Argyle High School in 1942. Shirley married Leo Schubert on November 28, 1957 at the West Wiota Lutheran Church in Wiota, WI; he died on July 3, 1990.
Shirley was a member of Calvary United Methodist Church in Stockton. She and her husband owned Pink & Shirl's Restaurant, and she had worked for Atwood Automotive for over 20 years. She enjoyed gardening, working in the yard, traveling, feeding and watching birds, and helping care for elderly friends.
She is survived by her son Wayne (Ann) of Franklin, WI; two step-sons, David (Patricia) of Rockford, IL and Donald (Linda) of Vernon, CT; nine grandchildren, Jonathon, Leah, Jim, Robert, Neil, Michael, Gretchen, Mike, and Ray; and four great grandchildren, Brandon, Jack, Luke, and Raya.
She is preceded in death by her husband, parents, and a sister.
The funeral service will be held Saturday, March 2, 2013 at 10:30 AM at Calvary United Methodist Church in Stockton. There will be a visitation before the service starting at 9:00 AM. Internment will take place at Ladies Union Cemetery in Stockton. A memorial fund has been established.
