Susan A. Silveira , 53, of Freeport, IL passed away Monday, September 25, 2017 at FHN Memorial Hospital. She was born January 1, 1964 in Fall River, MA; the daughter of Donald and Irene (Faris) Silveira. Susan married Christian Schmidt on November 12 ^th , 2000 in Shannon. He passed away in 2004.

Susan was a member of St. Wendelin's Catholic Church in Shannon. She enjoyed reading books, watching movies, cross-stitching, the beach, and most of all, spending time with her children and grandchildren. Susan worked as a waitress for over 30 years but most recently had worked at Applebee's in Freeport.

She is survived by her mother, Irene of Lehigh Acres, FL; her three sons, Jason Xi of Freeport, Josh Schmidt of Forreston and Devin Schmidt of Saint Cloud, FL; her two daughters, Kristina (Eric) Daniels of Freeport and Krishauna Schmidt of Davenport, FL; her 8 grandchildren; her brother, Brian Silveira; and her sister, Barbara Silveira. She was preceded in death by her father, Donald and her husband, Christian.
