Thelma May Lessman's Obituary
Thelma May Lessman, age 82 of Shannon, IL, passed away Sunday, November 16, 2014 at the Lena Living Center in Lena, IL. She was born April 10, 1932; the daughter of the late Earl and Anna (Schuur) Truckenmiller.
Thelma attended Lanark High School. She was a member of the Cherry Grove Church of the Brethren where she taught Sunday School. She enjoyed being a farmer's wife and raising poultry. Thelma also enjoyed gardening and her fruit trees along with boating and snowmobiling. Most of all she loved spending time with her children and grandchildren.
She is survived by her daughter, Sandi (Jerry) Reynolds of Pearl City, IL; two sons, Randy (Rita) Lessman of Shannon and Jeff (Patty) Lessman of Mt. Carroll, IL; 10 grandchildren; 27 great grandchildren; and two brothers, Robert Truckenmiller of Lena and Donald Truckenmiller of Freeport, IL. She is preceded in death by her parents and infant twin sons, Darrell and Dwayne.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, December 6, 2014 at 11:00 AM at the Cherry Grove Church of the Brethren. A memorial fund has been established.
