Theresa "Terry" L. Cole, age 54 of Stockton, IL, passed away Wednesday, February 12, 2014 at FHN Memorial Hospital in Freeport, IL. She was born May 15, 1959, the daughter of the late Robert and Mary (Sisler) Haun. She was a graduate of Iredell High School in Statesville, NC. Terry married John Cole on September 15, 1978 in Stockton.
She had been employed at Stockton Cheese, Kraft Foods, and Kolb Cheese in Lena, IL. She had also worked at Casey's in Stockton, making pizzas. Terry enjoyed reading, gardening, cooking, and grilling.
She is survived by her husband, John Cole of Stockton; two daughters, Tina (Rob) Ertmer of Stockton and Suzanne "Suzie" (Tim) Dolan of Freeport; four grandchildren, Gabe, Madee & Bella Ertmer and Leah Campbell; three sisters, Betsy (Rick) Hoppe of Stockton, Peg (Rick) Dittmar of Elizabeth, IL, and Penny Haun of Catawba, NC; three brothers, Bob (Jean) Haun of Stony Point, NC, Steve (Darlene) Haun of Hiddenite, NC, and Tom Haun of Stony Point, NC; nieces and nephews, Lee Ann Schlieger, Robby Hurst, Becky (Brad) Detwiler, Sarah Hoppe, Carrie (Brian) Winters, Merri (Trevor) Sevey, Mike (Jonna) Dittmar, Matt (Melissa) Dittmar, April (Travis) Hartness, Jennifer Haun, Natalie (Brent) Smith, Devin Haun, Matt Adams, Trent Hoke, and Gabby Cole; and many great nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents.
A visitation will be held Sunday, February 16, 2014 from 3:00 to 5:30 PM at the Hermann Funeral Home in Stockton, where a memorial service will begin at 5:30 PM; Father Michael Morrissey presiding. A memorial fund has been established.
