Truman Dale Hubb , age 92, of Stockton, Illinois, passed away peacefully at home, with his wife of 72 years by his side, on Wednesday, October 29. He was born on April 4,1933 in Winthrop, Iowa. He married Margaret (Punky) Bauer on January 15, 1953.

Dale drilled water wells for over 65 years with Lyons Well Drilling.  Throughout his decades of work, he came to know nearly every back road, house and farm in the Northwest Illinois region. He also ran his own business plowing snow in the winter months. Dale took great pride in his work and was known for his strong work ethic and his deep knowledge of water wells.

He is survived by his wife, Punky Hubb; and his children Steve (Sue) Hubb of Freeport, Il; Ken (Michelle) Hubb of Stockton, Il, Susan (Brad) Toppert of Flower Mound TX; Jennifer (Todd) Bell of Rockford, Il; and his son-in-law Ron Vanderheyden, husband of his late daughter Lisa.  He is also survived by 8 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, 5 great-great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was proceeded in death by his daughter Lisa Vanderheyden, his brother Roger Hubb, and his sister-in-law Eileen Hubb.

The family would like to thank the hospice staff and the Guardian Angels for their support and care during the last few weeks of Dale's life.

Visitation and funeral services will be held at Herman Funeral Home in Stockton on Saturday Nov 8th. Visitation starting at 11:00am with funeral following at 1:00pm.
