Vera Mae Thomasson , age 87 of Stockton, IL, passed away at home on Saturday, August 12, 2017. She was born October 29, 1929; the daughter of the late Alfred and Alice (Boelk) Schuldt. She married Eric Thomasson on October 29, 1948 on their family farm in Stockton, they have been married for almost 69 years.

Vera and Eric farmed together and she also worked for Atwood Automotive. She was a member of Christ Lutheran Church in Stockton. She enjoyed quilting and having company. Her nieces and nephews were a big part of her life. Vera was a very giving and loving person. She loved playing cards, dancing, baking, cooking and feeding the neighbors cookies.

She is survived by her husband, Eric of Stockton; sisters, Viola Nickel of Elizabeth and Beverly Kloss of Elizabeth; and many nieces & nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Shirley; brother, Robert; and two brother-in-laws, Russell Kloss and Robert Nickel.
