Virginia M. Murphy age 91, died Thursday, May 19, 2011 at Lena Living Center. Virginia was born May 13, 1920, the daughter of the late Willis and Zoe (Gates) Rindesbacher. She was a 1938 graduate of Stockton High School. She married H.C. 'OzzieFeltmeyer on January 5, 1939; he died July 11, 1968. Virginia married William 'BudMurphy on June 27, 1970 in Rockton, IL. She was a member of the Unitarian-Universalist Church in Stockton. She had been the financial secretary for the Stockton School District. Virginia was a former member of the Women's Club and Bonified Club. She enjoyed bicycling, dancing, traveling, playing bridge with good friends, and wintering in Texas. Virginia is survived by her husband Bud; son Dennis (Cheryl) Feltmeyer of Freeport, IL; two daughters, Dianne (Ralph) Bass of Lena, IL and Patricia (Denny) O'Boyle of Chillicothe, IL; six grandchildren; and 9 great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Ozzie, sister Frances Burritt, and an infant grandchild. A memorial service will be held Monday May 23, 2011 at 1:00 PM at the Hermann Funeral Home in Stockton, the Rev. Mike Jones presiding. A memorial fund has been established.
