Wendy Sue Dawson , age 60, of Madison, WI passed away suddenly at home on Saturday, December 15, 2018. She was born on May 5, 1958 in Freeport, IL, the daughter of Calvin French and Carol (Haight) Suess. Wendy was a graduate of Freeport High School. She married Arthur Dawson Jr. on May 8, 1976.

Wendy was a member of Asbury United Methodist Church of Madison. She enjoyed working on doll houses, going on cruises, and collecting anything and everything, from teddy bears and angels to gems and minerals. Most of all, Wendy loved spending time with and spoiling her grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband, Arthur Dawson of Madison, WI; her daughters, Carrie (Eric) Schwent of Verona, WI and Tracy Knapp of Middleton, WI; her son, Scott Dawson of Canton, NC; her grandchildren, Vincent Wittbecker, Zachary Knapp, and Ireland Dawson; her sisters, Kelly (Rob) Nadig of Stockton and Michele (Stan) Nettles of Atlanta, TX; her brother, Mark Vincent of Bixby,OK; her uncle, Robert Haight; her aunts, Pat Werkheiser and Marilynn White; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her mother, Carol Suess and her grandparents, Ike and Margaret Haight.

There will be a visitation at the Hermann Funeral Home in Stockton, IL on Thursday, December 20, 2018 from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. with a graveside service at Ladies Union Cemetery in Stockton immediately following. In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established.
